Shutting Up Peggy Lee!
Susan is happy with her life. Really. At least she thought she was, until the strains of Peggy Lee’s “Is That All There Is?” started reverberating in her head. Now she’s not so sure. Shutting Up Peggy Lee! is not about being middle-aged. It’s about reaching that point in your life where you feel like you’ve arrived, then realizing, “Now what?” Well, maybe it is about being middle-aged. Only funnier.

If you miss Shutting Up Peggy Lee! you will have missed something both refreshing and ground breaking. Poulin is smart, sexy and infectiously silly. I have to admit I’m not a fan of one-person shows, even the funniest ones on the circuit. But, Poulin breaks -- no, smashes -- the self-indulgent, satirical mold so often associated with dramatizing all the AHAs! one discovers at middle age. |
